The owner of Janco Studio's China production facility won (again)
the "Most Kind Manager of the Year" award for the city
of Xiamen in
2004.
Janco Studio's China supplier has
"adopted" an orphanage and a mountain village to assist. Below are a
few photos of recent activities.
FuXin, is a boy abandoned at birth because he was born without a
rectum. Good relationships with the local
orphanage enabled our supplier to bring him to the city for emergency
surgery. He is doing well in a foster care system also established by
our supplier in conjunction with the orphanage.
FuTong was born
with a congenital heart defect ('hole in the heart') and abandoned at
birth. Her health was steadily deteriorating, and our supplier arranged
for open heart surgery to correct the problem.
Below is one of
several children in the mountain village who have been blessed by
surgery to correct cleft palates. This boy's family simply could not
afford this simple procedure, and so the boy experienced the pain of
embarrassment and rejection. A simple surgery changed his life
situation significantly.
